Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for students with chronic health conditions. Assist Nursing Chair in implementing a comprehensive school health services program, thus advancing the health, well-being, and academic achievement of all students Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Provides screening and referral for health conditions, including vision, hearing and others Promotes a healthy school environment. Monitors immunizations and communicable diseases per state requirements. Assesses physical environment for safety Promotes health through teaching, programming, and consultation with individuals or groups Serves as a leader for health policies and programs through mentoring and positive role modeling Serves as liaison between school personnel, families, community, and health care providers.
