Description Position : Patient Care Assistant II (Radiotherapy Division) Rank : Patient Care Assistant II Department / Hospital : Department of Clinical Oncology, Radiotherapy, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Pay : HK$20,159 — HK$25,195 per month Up to 5% of total basic salary as end‑of‑contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. Key Responsibilities Assist Radiation Therapists to Provide patient care and basic patient intervention according to instruction. Prepare patients for clinical procedures and investigations. Provide patient education as according to protocol. Escort patients for examination or treatment. Manipulate X-ray unit for fluoroscopy and radiography; patient set‑up in MRI. Perform radiography and digital images development and printing. Dispense and storage of radiopharmaceutical. Prepare medical records for patients and file the clinic notes or make phone calls to patients for follow up and other appointment arrangements. Assist Mould Lab Technicians to Provide moulding services such as immobilization device and accessories fabrication. Prepare patients for moulding and related clinical procedures or investigations. Handle the storage of immobilization device and moulding materials. Escort patients for examination or treatment, provide patient transfer and aftercare of patients Provide patient education as according to protocol. Assist doctor/nurse to perform procedure or investigation. Check and prepare medical consumables, equipment and materials for patient services. Maintain the cleanliness of working area, including disinfection and maintenance of equipment such as immobilization device and moulding accessories. Perform clerical duties, including patient registration, appointment booking, data capture, inventory managing, and reporting. Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisors. Entry Requirements Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent. (Please note Remarks 2) Completed structured departmental training. (Please note Remarks 3) Preferred Attributes / Exposure Possess relevant working experience and/or training in hospital or health care institution. Holding certificate of the Health Care Assistant Course / Care-related Support Worker Course. (please see Remarks 4) . Enthusiasm in teamwork approach and task orientated with a strong sense of responsibility. Interested in serving in health care field and good communication skills. Knowledge of computer operations including Microsoft Office. Fluency in spoken Cantonese, good written English and Chinese. Remarks Please refer to for Notes to Applicants. Serving staff with F.3/ S.3 standard and 2 years’ care-related work experience may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level. Applicants who do not meet entry requirements (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training including the structured departmental training Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.
