Attending DentistSummary: Attending Dentist's responsibilities include providing clinical supervision for patient care at Carrington College Dental Hygiene Clinic when treatment is being provided by students. This involves managing medical history or dental emergencies, consulting with students and clinical instructors, referring patients for consultations, evaluating extra-oral and intra-oral findings, authorizing radiographs, evaluating radiographs, evaluating and selecting patients for sealant application, referring patients for comprehensive dental examinations, providing treatment and assisting with minor dental procedures, observing and evaluating nitrous oxide and local anesthesia administration by students, and evaluating the nitrous oxide/oxygen tank system.Qualifications: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD), state dentist license, BLS for the Healthcare Provider (AHA or ARC), 2 years' clinical practice experience, teaching experience preferred.
