Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Filler Operator to run the filling equipment on our juice and supplement production lines. This role is responsible for accurately filling, capping, and sealing containers to spec while maintaining product quality, minimizing waste, and keeping the line running at target speed and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating filling equipment in a food, beverage, or similarly regulated manufacturing environment, understands the importance of fill accuracy and container integrity to product safety, and can troubleshoot basic mechanical issues to reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor filling equipment to ensure containers are filled to correct volume/weight specifications.
• Adjust fill levels, capping torque, and sealing settings as needed, and perform changeovers for different products, container sizes, or SKUs.
• Monitor line performance and product quality throughout the shift, including fill accuracy, cap integrity, seal quality, and labeling.
• Perform in-process quality checks and complete required quality and production documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify and remove non-conforming containers (underfills, overfills, damaged caps/seals, contamination) from the line.
• Perform routine equipment checks and minor troubleshooting on fillers, cappers, and related equipment; escalate mechanical issues to Maintenance promptly.
• Coordinate with Rinser Operators, Packaging, and upstream/downstream line staff to maintain consistent line flow and minimize downtime.
• Follow all GMP, food safety, and plant safety protocols, including proper use of PPE.
• Participate in line start-up, changeover, shutdown, and clean-in-place (CIP) or sanitation procedures as needed.
• Monitor and report on product/material usage, including ingredients, caps, labels, and packaging materials, to minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with GMP and housekeeping standards.
• Support root cause investigations when filler performance affects product quality, fill accuracy, or downtime.
• Communicate line status, downtime, and quality concerns clearly to Line Leads and Production Supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience operating filling, capping, or other packaging equipment in a food, beverage, or supplement manufacturing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort making adjustments to production equipment (fill valves, cappers, sealers, date coders).
• Understanding of GMP, sanitation practices, and food safety principles, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch records, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around fill accuracy, quality inspection, and documentation.
• Ability to work efficiently and stay focused in a fast-paced, high-speed production environment.
• Basic math skills for verifying fill weights/volumes and completing production logs.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a production team.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during a shift.
• Ability to work around moving machinery and high-speed production equipment safely.
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials, containers, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and variable temperatures.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including hearing protection, and comply with all plant safety requirements.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as production needs require.
