Quality Assurance Assistant

Job Overview Job area: Quality Position Title: Quality Assurance Assistant Location: USA – Braselton, Broadway Boulevard Division: Solutions Time Type: Full Time Position Summary The Quality Assurance Assistant coordinates safety and quality functions and assists the Supervisor in ensuring that the warehouse complies with safety and quality policies, corporate and site‑specific procedures, OSHA/MSDS standards, and other applicable regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain the Document Control Center, data and records of the Quality System. Support and follow up on internal audits, QMS/QIS and corrective actions. Update visual aids, process instructions, quality procedures, corrective and preventive actions, and client documentation. Generate and update control charts and quality QOS. Review and validate all controlled documentation used throughout the plant against QIS. Participate in continuous improvement projects. Work closely with the Supervisor to develop improvements to employee performance and service to other departments. Conduct plant tours to detect non‑compliant activities. Maintain a clean and organized workstation or area. Develop and support new activities or projects as assigned. Ensure weekly trigger files are sent to suppliers on time. Follow up on aged material processes and notify customers for disposition. Manage excess/slow‑moving inventory and seek disposition. Maintain vendor/parts profile updates in the system. Improve communication with suppliers and customers. Prepare paperwork and backup data for return shipments. Respond to customer inquiries within service objectives. Create reports to monitor compliance. Coordinate cycle counts for sync report analysis. Set up and maintain vendor, contact, and part profiles. Actively participate in customer/internal corrective action and improvement plans. Support other areas as required. Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None Minimum Required Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience handling basic statistical control methods. Previous inventory experience. Experience with quality management systems. Computer skills: excellent MS Office, Windows, Visio. Language: English (reading, writing, verbal). Mathematical skills: basic to intermediate level. Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. Adaptability to change in a fast‑paced environment. Previous experience with quality management system. Preferred Qualifications Experience in logistics/distribution or a related environment. Previous experience with internal audits, document control, and corrective action plans. Physical Demands Activity not applicable to the occupation. Bend, climb, crawl, handle/finger, sit, stand and walk as required. Lifting: 10 lbs or less, 11–20 lbs. Push/pull: 10 lbs or less, 11–20 lbs. Reach up to shoulder and outward. Squat or kneel as needed. Work Environment The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is usually low to moderate.
