Administrative And Project Management SupportThe Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning seeks an individual to provide administrative and project management support to the Urban and Regional Planning Program. Reporting to the academic program chair, you will work with the chair, degree directors, faculty, students and others to complete administrative tasks and projects with a strong attention to detail and discretion.This job is situated in Ann Arbor and on-campus work is expected four days a week, with a few offsite weeks throughout the academic year and an offsite period from mid-May to mid-August.Responsibilities*Provide a full range of administrative support for the chair and program. Serve as the front-line source of information to faculty, students, staff, and internal and external constituencies whether in person, on the phone, or via email. Use resources, technology, and creative thinking to provide a high level of professionalism and customer service.Act as a resource to the chair and degree directors and assist with strategic initiatives for the program and college. Monitor the status of projects to ensure completion and inform the chair and other stakeholders of progress and deviations.Organize program events, fellowship application processes, and faculty committees.Manage the calendar and help prioritize commitments to use the chair's time effectively. Provide timely and accurate information to the chair about agendas and meeting participants.Manage travel arrangements for the chair, prepare itineraries and submit expense reports.Attend faculty meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions and timelines. Ensure projects from faculty meetings are on target for completion; follow up on appropriate action items when needed.Maintain and improve existing record-keeping systems for the program.Prepare written communications on behalf of the chair.Independently coordinate with college staff, such as facilities, student affairs, finance, communications and others to resolve problems and communicate URP program activities.Required Qualifications*Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in higher education3+ years of progressively responsible administrative and project management experienceAdvanced technology skills including Google suiteModes Of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position.
