Schedule: 8am - 4:30 pm Mon - Fri + every other weekend/holiday

The Clinical Pharmacy Manager for inpatient pharmacy services reports directly to the Director Pharmacy Services, Inpatient and Infusion and is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of clinical pharmacy services, coordinates medication utilization and formulary management, policy oversight and is a key stakeholder for medication management safety and regulatory compliance. This role collaborates with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, quality, and operational leaders to optimize medication outcomes, ensure regulatory readiness, and advance safe, effective, and cost-conscious patient care. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining clinical programs, supporting pharmacy staff and leaders, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and pharmacy best practices. This position supervises clinical pharmacy and quality staff who provide and support patient-focused pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight of inpatient clinical pharmacy services.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical pharmacy programs that support quality patient care and organizational priorities.
• Support optimization of clinical workflows, pharmacy practice models, and pharmacist scope of practice.
• Lead initiatives that improve medication stewardship, quality metrics, and patient outcomes.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and identify opportunities for service enhancement and expansion.
• In conjunction with pharmacy leadership, supervises the clinical pharmacy and quality staff performing a full range of supervisory functions, including performance evaluations, payroll oversight, training and development, leave approvals, recruitment, performance improvement plans, retention, onboarding etc.
• Serves on several key clinical, safety and regulatory committees, both at a system and local level.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, including but not limited to The Joint Commission, Pennsylvania Department of Health, Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy and USP standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop clinical pharmacy specialists, pharmacists, residents, and/or support personnel as assigned.
• Coordinates IPPE/APPE pharmacy students, serving as a PGY1 pharmacy preceptor and supports the PGY1 Residency Program Director. Encourage scholarly activity, research, and publication efforts. Supports professional development and oversees the Clinical Pharmacist Career Ladder.
• Serve as a pharmacy leader for medication safety activities across inpatient services.
• Lead pharmacy readiness efforts for surveys, inspections, and accreditation reviews.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation required for compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate practice implications to pharmacy leadership and staff.
• Lead formulary management processes in collaboration with Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committees and physician stakeholders.
• Support medication-use evaluations, therapeutic interchange programs, and medication stewardship initiatives.
• Utilize data to support decision-making, program development, and continuous improvement efforts.

Credentials:

• Pharmacist (Required)
• Current Registered Pharmacist License in Pennsylvania Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties

• Education Specialization: Doctor of Pharmacy Equivalent Experience: Or Or Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy with three or more years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role.
