Travel EEG Tech - 7P-7A

Location: Dallas, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7PM to 7AM, rotating weekends, 3-12 hour shifts.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Travel EEG Tech to join our team in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). The ideal candidate will be a Registered EEG Technologist with significant experience in a clinical setting, performing various EEG procedures including routine and STAT EEGs, as well as continuous video EEG monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and STAT EEG procedures proficiently.
• Setup and monitor continuous video EEG procedures.
• Comfort patients and explain procedures to them and their families.
• Use critical thinking to provide the best care for each patient.
• Collaborate with other departments and caregivers to conduct tests at the patient's bedside.
• Identify abnormal EEG waveforms and escalate to a physician for immediate review.
• Work with all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an EEG Technologist.
• Proficient with collodion and paste application methods.
• Knowledge of the 10/20 Electrode Measurement System.
• Experience with inpatient EEGs at the bedside, including critical care patients.
• Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) certification preferred.
