About the Position

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with an average daily census of approximately 105 patients
• Manage patient flow across a department with 20 rooms and 26 beds, supporting approximately 135 visits per day
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Adhere to weekend requirements, working 3 out of every 6 weekends
• Be available and willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license (pending license not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities
• Ability to comply with submission requirements including SSN, DOB, RTO, and 2 professional references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Experience working in high-volume emergency department environments
• Familiarity with observation unit or ER hold patient populations
