Position Description: Strategic Kids is Hiring a Youth Leaders for the 2026-2027 School Year! (Start Date: August 12, 2026)Location: Solana Beach, CAPay Rate: $21.00 – $23 per hourEmployment Type: Part- TimeSchedule:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday (2:00pm - 6:00pm) & Wednesday (1:00pm - 6:00pm)OverviewStrategic Kids is seeking energetic, compassionate, and dependable Youth Leaders to support students in engaging after-school programs. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education, mentorship, and child development who want to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives.As a Youth Leader, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll work closely with staff and students to support educational activities, encourage positive behavior, and lead enrichment opportunities throughout the program day.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and engage groups of up to 20 K–8th grade students, ensuring a safe and positive learning environmentLead and facilitate enrichment activities, games, and academic support across areas such as STEM, arts, and physical educationSupport lesson plans, educational activities, and homework assistanceFoster social-emotional growth using positive behavior strategies that promote respect, empathy, and communityCollaborate and communicate effectively with staff and families while maintaining organized and safe program spacesTravel between multiple school sites as neededMust HaveMinimum 3 months of experience working with children in a professional, volunteer, or educational settingHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredDemonstrated passion for education and child developmentMust be within 30 minute commute of Solana Beach, CAMust be 18 years or olderNice to HaveStudents pursuing Education / Child development / Psychology coursework or degrees encouraged to applyExperience in after-school programs, summer camps, tutoring, or youth mentoringExperience supporting students with special education needsBilingual communication skillsBenefitsSick and Safe Leave: You will accrue one hour for every 30 hours workedCalSavers: State-sponsored 401(k) plan State Disability Insurance Workers' Compensation: Through State FundCell Phone Reimbursement: $5 per monthNew Hire Orientation: You will be paid to attend New Hire Orientation prior to working at your assigned location(s)Meaningful work: Knowledge that what you’re doing is making a real impact!Opportunities for growth: Experience within youth and education programs, plus hands-on experience for future educators and child development professionals
