RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• Patient ratios of 2:1, 1:1, or occasionally 3:1 depending on patient acuity
• Float to all areas as needed
• ICU experience required
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, paralytics, ventilators, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
• Required understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Advanced skills desired include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• CCRN certification recommended but not required
• Must wear navy or navy and white scrubs only
• No pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs allowed except when uniform is soiled at work
• Work in 16-bed unit with RNs only (no unit secretaries or patient care technicians)
