Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 11/09/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2314.64 \n \n Opportunity: \n RN - ICU \n Job Details: \n • Night shift position with every other weekend or up to 3 weekends per month if unit is busy \n • 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; night shift weekends are Friday through Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday through Sunday \n • 1 holiday off during assignment \n • Self-scheduling with manager balancing shifts based on unit needs \n • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 \n • Must have a minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience with either neuro or cardiovascular experience - no exceptions \n • UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance, maximum of 2 attempts \n • Pass/fail Simulation Lab on Day 1 of orientation \n • Unit-specific orientation of 1-2 days \n • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS \n • Charting system: Cerner \n • Scrub color: Navy \n • RNs are required to titrate drips including propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, morphine, dilaudid, ketamine, rocuronium, levophed, vasopressin, cardene, labetolol, dopamine, dobutamine, heparin, and insulin \n • RNs are required to interpret their own cardiac monitor strips using GE monitors \n • Respiratory therapy equipment includes Draeger, Hamilton, Puritan Bennett 840, V60s BiPap, and Airvo ventilators \n • Intensivist and respiratory therapy available in-house 24/7 \n • Floating required to telemetry unit with a 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed, as well as between sister ICU units \n • May be low censused up to 3 times per 13-week contract depending on unit needs \n • No additional call or standby shifts required \n • First-time travelers accepted with minimum 3 years of experience; Level 1 or neuro experience preferred \n Facility: \n This is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering a high-acuity acute care environment with multiple ICU units, including a Surgical ICU specializing in trauma and neurosurgery, a Medical Cardiac ICU, and a 12-bed overflow ICU. The facility handles complex cases including trauma, neurological surgery, cardiovascular surgery, ECMO, IABP, Impella, and CRRT.
