divh2Specialist Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS)/h2pThe Specialist Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) ensures compliance with regulatory standards while proactively identifying and mitigating risks. The EHS Specialist fosters a culture of safety, ultimately safeguarding our people, our communities, and the sustainability of our business within an assigned geographic area in North America. Works with limited supervision, reporting to the Sr. Program Manager, Environmental and Occupational Safety./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities/pulliPerform regular internal audits that include hazard identification and mitigation measures to proactively address EHS concerns./liliMaintain record-keeping practices to track safety incidents, inspections, training and compliance documentation./liliContribute to and/or lead investigations into workplace and environmental safety incidents, violations, and inquiries ensuring a root cause analysis and timely resolution./liliParticipate in the establishment, review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures and EHS Program documents./liliPrepare and perform EHS specific training./liliPrepare bi-weekly reports for individual productivity and quality matrixes./liliPerform other duties as assigned./li/ulpWe share a collaborative obligation to ensure that we conduct ourselves in the utmost ethical manner and that we hold each other accountable to the values and standards of the organization. Antech Diagnostics has several processes in place to communicate with leadership and expects that employees will have a commitment to integrity and uncompromising values./ppEducation and Experience/pulliBachelors degree in environmental science, occupational/industrial safety, or other related field of study./liliMinimum of 5 years of EHS experience./liliStrong familiarity and experience with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements./liliPrefer professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)./liliPrefer experience with EHS solutions for diagnostic laboratories, preferably veterinary./liliPrefer experience with Canadian Occupational Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and enforcement bodies./liliPrefer experience with radiological and laser safety programs./liliPrefer experience with EHS programs related to zoonotic exposures./liliPrefer experience with biological safety programs and equipment/li/ulpKnowledge, Skills and Abilities/pulliHave or ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED trainer certification./liliAbility to instruct RCRA/DOT training for employees is highly desired./liliAbility to perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)./liliKnowledge and skills to manage regulated medical and chemical waste programs./liliOrganized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment/liliStrong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and problem-solving skills/liliMaster of influencing without authority./liliAdvanced verbal and written communication skills./liliRegulatory knowledge across North American region (U.S. and Canada)/liliDemonstrated ability to develop, implement, and deliver award winning support solutions in a dynamic, high growth business./liliAbility to work remotely at times with minimal supervision./liliProven ability to translate creative ideas into strategic and business logic to all levels of the organization, from executives to front line employees./liliAdept with common industry performance indicators for EHS, technology trends and developments./liliA solid understanding of data analytics to drive to find innovative ways to improve processes and services./liliIndependent, high energy, and a proven ability to drive results under pressure and in the face of ambiguity./liliEffective reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues./liliProficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint/liliIdeagen Quality Management Software knowledge preferred./liliFluency in the French language is desirable./li/ulpTravel - Yes/pulliPercent of time: 30 50%/li/ulpWorking Conditions/pulliThe associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding./liliThe associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms./liliThe associate is frequently required to hear and speak to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office environment./liliThe associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch./liliThe associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds./liliThe associate will primarily work in a typical office environment including use of cubicles, computers and overhead lighting./liliTemperature extremes will be minimal to nonexistent.
