Trailer Technician

Position Summary Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Trailer Technician in Ocala, FL! The Trailer Mechanic will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Class 7 - 8 trailers and will operate vehicles and test all working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation. Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $26-$30/hr. - depending on experience. Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00pm-6:30 am The benefits of belonging – what’s in it for you? Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind the cab using normally available footholds and handholds Must provide own hand tools Perform DOT inspections Basic computer skills Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) Working Conditions: Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Ability to move and position heavy objects Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
