Job Title: Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonographer

Experience:
Two years of experience as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer preferred.
Two years of experience as a vascular sonographer preferred.
Two years of experience as a pediatric cardiac sonographer preferred.
One year of experience as a Fetal ECHO sonographer preferred.


License:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer (RDCS) required.
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required.
Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) required.


Certifications:
Fetal Echocardiography (FE) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS or equivalent) certification required.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required.
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) required.
ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCCS required.


Must-Have:
Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients, which includes receiving all required vaccinations.


Description:
The pediatric cardiovascular sonographer assists with cardiovascular and non-invasive studies or treatments.
Performs M-Mode with calculations and 2-D procedures with all necessary views and calculations.
Conducts Doppler echo with analysis and documents all information as required.
Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information based on the patient's age-specific needs.
Anticipates the needs of the physician and provides awareness of potential patient problems.
Performs all peripheral vascular procedures including arterial Doppler, venous Doppler, segmental pressures, ankle-arm index, and carotid ultrasound.
Conducts tilt table exams, treadmills, 24-hour holters, and pharmacological studies.
Keeps up to date with the latest advances in cardiovascular techniques and equipment.
Precepts and mentors new staff members as needed.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
