Housekeeper

Schedule: Flexible 7:00am - 4:00pm Weekdays & Weekends Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour Care through cleanliness. Service through presence. We are seeking a dependable and flexible Housekeeper to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the Sisters of Mercy. This role is essential to daily life within the community and directly supports the comfort, dignity, and well‑being of those who live and work here. What You’ll Do Daily Cleaning & Care Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas Dust furniture and fixtures Vacuum carpets and rugs; mop and maintain floors Clean bathrooms including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain inventory Complete periodic deep and annual cleaning as assigned Safety & Infection Control Follow all safety and infection‑control procedures, including proper use of PPE Report hazards, defective equipment, or environmental concerns promptly Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe environment at all times Team & Community Support Communicate respectfully with coworkers, Sisters, visitors, and staff Demonstrate initiative by noticing what needs to be done and taking action Follow all policies, procedures, and community guidelines Assist with other duties as needed Required Minimum of 2 years of professional residential or housekeeping experience Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and safe chemical use Reliable, detail‑oriented, and service‑focused Willingness to assist beyond assigned tasks when needed Preferred High school diploma or GED Experience in a healthcare, residential, or religious setting Appreciation for the mission and values of the Sisters of Mercy #J-18808-Ljbffr
