The Quality Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of non-conformance and corrective action processes across the organization. This role serves as the focal point for supplier non-conformances, internal non-conformances, audit findings, customer complaints, and customer-generated non-conformances. The position ensures timely containment, root cause investigation, corrective action implementation, effectiveness verification, and closure of quality issues in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements and company procedures.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and relentless follow-through to ensure issues are effectively resolved and corrective actions are completed on time. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, customers, auditors, operations, engineering, and management to drive continual improvement and maintain compliance with quality management system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Non-Conformance Management

• Own and administer the organization's non-conformance management process.
• Review, document, and track all quality non-conformances from initiation through closure.
• Coordinate containment activities to minimize quality, operational, and customer impacts.
• Ensure accurate and complete records of all non-conformance investigations and resolutions.
• Monitor aging reports and drive timely closure of open quality issues.

Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)

• Lead corrective action investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA processes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure objective evidence is documented prior to closure.
• Escalate overdue or ineffective corrective actions to management.
• Track corrective action metrics and recommend process improvements.

Supplier Quality Management

• Manage supplier non-conformances and supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).
• Coordinate communication with suppliers regarding quality issues, containment actions, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Evaluate supplier responses and verify effectiveness of implemented actions.
• Maintain supplier quality records and performance metrics.

Customer Quality Management

• Coordinate investigation and resolution of customer complaints and customer non-conformance reports.
• Serve as a primary quality contact for customer quality concerns and corrective action requests.
• Ensure timely customer communication and submission of required responses.
• Monitor complaint trends and identify opportunities for systemic improvement.

Audit Findings Management

• Manage corrective actions resulting from internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits.
• Track audit findings through investigation, implementation, verification, and closure.
• Ensure audit-related corrective actions are completed within established deadlines.
• Support audit preparation and provide documentation as required.

Quality Management System Support

• Maintain working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management system processes.
• Support compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality policies.
• Assist with document control, management review inputs, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in internal audits and quality system improvement activities.

Reporting and Metrics

• Develop and maintain quality metrics related to:
• • Non-conformance trends
  • Corrective action closure rates
  • Supplier quality performance
  • Customer complaints
  • Audit findings
  • On-time corrective action completion
• Prepare reports and presentations for management review meetings.
• Analyze data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
