Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU – Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska. Job Summary The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Kearney, Nebraska. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in an intensive care unit that manages critically ill adult patients with diagnoses such as trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post‑stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. Candidates must bring their license on the first day. The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Job Details Specialty: ICU – Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week (12‑hour night shifts) Employment Type: Travel Schedule: 12‑hour shifts from 06:30 to 18:30 and 18:30 to 06:30, minimum 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid license, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, and at least 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic charting using EPIC, proficiency in reading telemetry strips, ability to manage cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation Float: Float rotation may be required, typically to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and occasionally Medical‑Surgical units, maintaining patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5 Additional Requirements: Troubleshooting of respiratory equipment, minimum one unit‑specific orientation shift, self‑scheduling available for core staff, RTO requests up to 7 days within the 13‑week contract, minimum two holidays within the contract period Shift & Location: Position begins 06/22/2026 at facility in Kearney, Nebraska Benefits Private housing or generous housing allowance Comprehensive health insurance with prescription coverage Dependent health insurance with prescription coverage Competitive salaries Referral bonuses Travel reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Direct deposit/free checking Unlimited free CE credits #J-18808-Ljbffr
