Job Title: Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)

Location: Indian Harbour Beach, FL
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension)

Shift Timings:

• Monday - Thursday: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
• Every Saturday: 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM (EST)

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)/Phlebotomist I serves as the primary point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare services. This role involves performing safe and accurate blood collection, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

The PSR I fosters trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and maintaining a professional, compassionate approach. The position requires strict adherence to confidentiality, accuracy, and established clinical practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily activities accurately and in a timely manner under the direction of the area supervisor
• Draw high-quality blood specimens using proper phlebotomy techniques (including pediatric and geriatric patients)
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established protocols
• Safely perform forensic and clinical specimen collection procedures
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Create a professional and welcoming environment for patients
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients to build trust and confidence
• Demonstrate strong organizational commitment and uphold a positive company image
• Support process improvement initiatives and maintain attention to detail and accuracy
• Adapt to flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call requirements

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Medical training such as Medical Assistant or Paramedic (Preferred)
• Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; required in certain states such as CA, NV, WA)

Work Experience:

• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
• Experience in customer service or patient-facing roles (Preferred)
• Strong keyboarding and data entry skills (Required)
