An opportunity exists for experienced pharmacists to contribute to patient care excellence at a 460-bed Level I trauma center. This contract position offers a unique week-on, week-off schedule, providing balance and time to recharge. The shifts run from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, focused on night shift responsibilities within a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, supporting workflow and training
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Utilize pharmacokinetics principles for dosing adjustments and monitoring
• Operate and manage Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, and Pyxis systems

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia pharmacist license is required
• Proven experience in hospital pharmacy practice, preferably in trauma or critical care settings
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Proficiency with relevant pharmacy IT systems and software
