Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | Rotating Day/Night Shifts (3x12-Hour Shifts) | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool setting, with potential to float to designated units and the Emergency Department for the same patient population
• Perform continuous ECG rhythm recognition and monitoring as part of telemetry patient care
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Rotate holiday coverage, working at minimum every other holiday as required
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license – must hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of specialty experience obtained within a single facility location
• Prior float pool experience across Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Emergency Department settings
