Maintenance Supervisor – Manufacturing Location: North Manchester, Indiana Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Must be available to support a three-shift manufacturing operation Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with approximately 115 employees operating across three shifts. This position is responsible for supervising maintenance technicians, coordinating preventative maintenance activities, minimizing downtime, and ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance personnel across all shifts Plan, assign, and prioritize maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance schedules Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, machinery, and facility issues in a timely manner Support production by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, environmental, and company policies Assist with installation, modification, and startup of new equipment Maintain maintenance records, inventory, and spare parts control Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance team members Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction Support emergency maintenance needs and provide after‑hours support when required Promote strong communication and teamwork between maintenance and production departments Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or related training preferred 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems preferred Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to work flexible hours to support a three‑shift operation Preferred Experience Manufacturing maintenance leadership experience Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments Welding, fabrication, and industrial electrical troubleshooting experience Knowledge of safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays Life and disability insurance Opportunities for professional development and advancement Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Grow Wabash County
