Position: Medical Assistant

Location: City, State

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)

This position is focused on providing clinical support as a Medical Assistant. The role covers a Family Medicine practice and may involve front-office duties as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to healthcare professionals
• Assist with patient check-in/check-out
• Manage phone coverage and scheduling
• Handle patient messages and support clinic flow
• Perform various clinical tasks including obtaining vital signs, recording patient history, and administering immunizations
• Coordinate follow-up phone calls and patient refill requests
• Facilitate suture removal and telephone triage as required

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 6 months preferred
• Certifications Required: BLS, Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C)
• Skills Required: Proficiency in healthcare terminology and experience with the Epic charting system
• Additional Skills: Experience in adult outpatient clinics, performing hearing screenings, vision testing, and various clinical procedures

Additional Information

• No weekend shift requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must have reliable transportation
• Candidates may be expected to float to sister facilities as needed
• Must be able to work 3 out of 5 designated holidays
