The Animal Care Provider plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of dogs through attentive feeding, health monitoring, and behavior observation. Working within a small team, this role requires weekend availability and standard business hours to provide consistent, compassionate care in a supportive environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for collaborating effectively and maintaining accurate records of each animal’s care.
Responsibilities
- Feed dogs according to dietary requirements
- Monitor health and observe behavior for any changes
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatments
- Interact professionally with customers and team members
- Follow sanitation procedures to ensure a clean environment
- Assist with general animal handling and care tasks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in animal care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in animal handling and sanitation procedures
- Strong record keeping and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to scoop poop and maintain cleanliness
