As a Structural Engineering Professional Associate - NE Region , you will be an integral member of the design team, performing a significant portion of structural analysis and design. You will work closely with your Structural Lead, other Structural Engineers and Designers, and other disciplines to develop concepts, complete analysis and design, and communicate structural requirements on paper and in the model. Responsibilities Under general supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design Plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Exercise sound engineering judgment and problem-solving skills, and seek guidance when questions arise. Possess knowledge of principles and practices of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic), including ability to apply required provisions of the building code. Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control Commit to checking your own work and seek guidance from peers or seniors when questions arise. Perform calculation checking of other engineers' work. Take responsibility for managing workload, meet commitments, and take full ownership of assigned work Take complete ownership of your portion of the structural scope, and work to meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Determine what is needed to meet project and client needs when conditions of satisfaction are ill-defined. Define your scope and forecast level of effort needed to complete it. Identify scope changes and escalate to the Structural Lead. Recognize when help is needed and seek guidance from peers and senior engineers. Work in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner with strong attention to detail. Develop leadership skills Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers/drafters and less experienced engineers. Proactively advance workflows, systems, and tools within the structural discipline and adopt emerging technologies. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng) At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ideally you will also have MS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or MS degree in Structural Engineering Experience in semiconductor industrial or general industrial facilities Experience leading small teams Additional Requirements Your home location must be in the Northeast region of the United States Employee to provide internet service as required at home to effectively meet project performance requirements Benefits and Compensation Our health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the option to purchase company stock at a discount. The base salary range for this position is $91,400.00 to $125,600.00, with pay determined by location and factors such as skills, experience, and education.
