Technical Career Navigator Salary: $53,248 - $55,964 Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: FY2300734 Location: Main Campus - Baytown, TX Division: Provost/Academic & Student Affairs Position Overview Please note: This is a grant-fundedposition. Starting Salary Range is $53,248 - $55,964. The initial salaryoffer is commensurate with education and related workexperience. This role will offer career exploration and professional guidanceto technical students, aiding them in setting career goals. It willpromote student success through the creation of resumes, coverletters, mock interviews, and job search strategies. Additionally,it will involve tracking students post-graduation to maintainemployment data. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct career exploration events through petrochemworks.comtrainings and other career exploration tools. Assist students with resume writing, cover letter, mockinterviews, and employment opportunities. Connect career goals with Lee College programs to createpathway for student. Collaborate with the Student Career and Employment ServicesOffice. Develop and facilitate workshops and presentations usingPowerPoint and other media solutions. Create and foster relationships with local industry. Develop presentations and activities that appeal to targetaudiences, such as soft skill development. Conduct evening and weekend special events and activities. Maintain social media outlets. Assist with the Women in Manufacturing student organization andother professional student groups. Create networking opportunities. Track student employment after graduation. Additional Duties & Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills & Abilities Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Human Resources, Counseling,Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Justice, Sociology, Psychology,or closely related field Two (2) years of related work experience in a technical orindustrial field Excellent oral and written communications skills Demonstrated interpersonal abilities and public relationsexperience Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel,PowerPoint, and Access) Demonstrated proficiency in creating functional andchronological resumes and cover letters specific to industry Ability to teach soft skills Excellent organizational skills, self-starter with strong timemanagement skills Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team Must be able to lift at least twenty (20) pounds of recruitingmaterials; extensive pulling and pushing of recruiting materials isfrequent in this position Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required Must be able to work a schedule that may vary week to week Lee College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color,religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity and sexualorientation), national origin, age, disability, veteran status,genetic information or any other basis protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Lee College
