If you believe in delivering great customer service, value partnership, and are always looking for a challenge, we'd like to meet you.Position SummaryAs a team lead, your responsibilities will include training new employees for their roles, establishing performance requirements for the tracking team that align with customer specifications and meeting with your team to ensure that they are performing at the level expected to move forward to other areas of the operations. Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operations. This is a working team lead role. Must be willing to operate forklift.Essential Job Functions For This Position:Manage, coordinate, direct, lead and mentor all operations employees during their probationary period. This includes, but is not limited to WMS, all Operations processes, the phone system, all tracking programs.Work directly with the operations management team to establish performance expectations for the Tracking team. Manage daily workflow to ensure that all members of the Tracking team are working & communicating with the Ops team efficiently.Plan and implement evolving training processes, based on ever-changing Operations procedures, performance expectations & technology updates.Conduct performance reviews, including probationary period reviews. Make adjustments to workload and conduct one-on-one training to ensure employees are improving and meeting performance expectations.Provide performance feedback to both the management team and to employees. Establish hiring needs based on employee performance and operation's needs.Manage, maintain, and implement customer tracking expectations.Provide first day orientation to all new hires.Regular and predictable attendanceForklift experienceOther Significant Job Functions Include:Decision making abilities based on progress of new hires.Ability to help Operations with daily duties, when not trainingAbility to prioritize and multitask.Stay focused in a busy, loud environment.Additional duties as assigned.RequirementsRequired Education / Experience:High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education / Experience:Associates or bachelor's degree in Logistics and Transportation related fieldsRequired Skills (Technical, Clerical, Language, Etc.): :Excellent communication skills – verbal and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office products is essentialAbility to work in a safety sensitive environment at the plant and yard operationsAbility to communicate with many levels of personnel – internal and external customersAbility to challenge the status quo and work positively to improve our operationAbility to handle constructive criticism positivelyAbility to resolve conflict and problems diplomaticallyPreferred Skills (Technical, Clerical, Language, Etc.):BilingualOther Information:The essential job functions and major job functions are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the job functions that an individual will be required or expected to perform.
