Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool

Shift: Nights (11:00 PM - 07:30 AM)

Schedule: 32 hours/week, 8-hour shifts; requires working every weekend. This is a flexible position, predominantly for night shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool, providing care in both the Labor & Delivery (LDR) and Antenatal Care Unit (ACU). The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, clinical expertise, and a commitment to high-quality patient care within a dynamic environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery and Antenatal Care Unit.
• Float between units as needed, providing support based on patient care demands.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and best practices to promote patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, with compact license applicable to Rhode Island.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• NRP certification.
• Fetal monitoring certification (required for Labor & Delivery).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, or High-Risk OB nursing.
• Experience in float pool or multi-unit settings is preferred.

Requirements

• Influenza vaccine required (no exemptions).
• COVID-19 vaccine required (no exemptions).
• Completion of a clinical evaluation and competencies upon onboarding.
• Successful completion of all necessary health screenings, including PPD and immunizations.

Contract Dates

Start Date: November 2, 2026

End Date: January 2, 2027
