Training Analyst

Join CAL FIRE as a Training Analyst (Analyst I) and play a key role in supporting the training programs that prepare California's firefighters and emergency response personnel. In this position, you'll help ensure training records, certifications, compliance, and educational programs are accurate, efficient, and ready to support one of the nation's largest fire agencies. What You'll Do As a Training Analyst, you'll provide tactical, administrative, and strategic support to CAL FIRE's Training Bureau by: Managing the Unit's Vector Solutions Learning Management System (LMS/RMS) , including training assignments, certifications, credentials, reporting, and instructor records. Coordinating logistics and procurement for training operations and office needs while maintaining knowledge of State purchasing procedures. Researching, evaluating, and improving training systems, programs, and administrative processes. Coordinating student registration, communications, and training allocations for CAL FIRE-hosted courses and statewide training events. Monitoring training compliance, identifying trends, and recommending solutions to ensure employees remain current with required certifications and training. Developing and maintaining training policies, procedures, reports, and program documentation. Serving as a liaison with NWCG, FEMA, California State Fire Training , and other training partners to ensure instructor qualifications and certificates remain current. Providing technical expertise for California State Fire Training certification examinations, including Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and Fire Officer certification tracks. Building partnerships with college Fire Technology programs and regional training organizations. Assisting with the development and editing of training materials, lesson plans, presentations, communications, and meeting documentation. Tracking emerging training, EMS, safety, legislative, and regulatory issues while providing recommendations that support risk management and operational readiness. Why CAL FIRE?
