Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.Position SummaryThe Staff Nurse will provide a combination of office and community based nursing services as part of a multidisciplinary team-oriented organization. This position requires a high level of knowledge of nursing requirements for providing integrated care for the population served at Aspire. This includes nursing knowledge of the physical and behavioral health needs of Aspire clients and the ability to work with clients and other team members to coordinate the nursing care needed to meet these needs. This position demands a high level of safety awareness and teaching skills. Knowledge and experience of DSM, crisis & emergency interventions and infection control are neededEducation and ExperienceBachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associates degree from a two (2) year accredited nursing program requiredMinimum of one (1) year supervised experience in a mental health/psychiatric setting highly preferredMust have the ability to empathize and be compassionate to client needsMust be able to respond appropriately and effectively in crisis situations by using good judgment and following Aspire protocolsLicensureMust be recognized as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of IndianaDrug screen, TB test and extensive background checks (including Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Education Verification, and Professional References) are required of all Aspire employees.All individuals who join Aspire are strongly encouraged to have a flu shot and be fully vaccinated against COVID19 prior to joining Aspire to further protect our staff and the patients we serve.
