Role Summary We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, planning, and advisory services across a diverse portfolio. This role oversees federal and state filings for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and business entities, while mentoring junior staff and managing key client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance & Review: Oversee and review complex federal and state returns for Individuals (1040), Fiduciaries/Trusts (1041), S-Corporations (1120S ), and C-Corporations (1120).

• Tax Planning & Advisory: Research complex technical issues, interpret tax law changes, and design strategic tax planning solutions to minimize liabilities.

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and review the work of tax associates; manage performance evaluations and foster team growth.

• Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for tax matters, presenting complex strategies clearly to clients and stakeholders.

• Audits & Controversy: Coordinate and support client inquiries, tax notices, and audit representation with federal and state tax authorities.

• Workflow Optimization: Manage engagement timelines and leverage tax software to streamline preparation and review processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, including direct review experience with Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, and 1120S.

• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in federal/state tax law, professional tax research tools, tax software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH, Drake), and Excel.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's in Taxation / MST preferred).

• Skills: Strong project management abilities, client service mindset, and effective communication skills.
