Hours & Location Location: Kimmel Outpatient Center – 353 E 68th St, New York, NY 10065 Shifts available: Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays for a 2‑hour shift anytime between 1 PM – 5 PM. Please indicate all shifts you are available for in your application. Volunteer Opportunity We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic musician volunteers to play in the lobby of our Kimmel Outpatient Center. Musicians must bring their own instruments to their volunteer shifts. Who We're Looking For Age 16+ Able to commit to a weekly 2‑hour shift for at least 6 months If you are a former or current MSK patient, you must be out of active treatment for at least one year. Comfortable performing various music genres in lobby spaces with patients, visitors, and staff passing by. Friendly and comfortable engaging with patients, families, and staff. Reliable. Onboarding Process Virtual interview (based on scheduling needs and program fit). Please be prepared to perform a piece of music during your interview or provide a recording/video at the time of your interview. 2-3 reference checks Background check & drug screen (18+ only) Medical clearance (flu and other immunizations required; at applicant's expense) *To stay active in the program, onboarding must be completed within 4‑6 weeks. If your application is pending any onboarding tasks for 30+ days, your application may be rejected. Please Note This is an unpaid volunteer role.
