Equipment Service & Yard Technician

Location: Beaumont, TX 77705
Pay: $17.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Some field-service assignments may require participation in an on-call rotation approximately every 4–6 weeks.

Job Description:

TruBlu HR Solutions is seeking Equipment Service & Yard Technicians for multiple openings in Beaumont. This position supports daily equipment operations by checking equipment in and out, inspecting and cleaning equipment, accurately documenting counts and orders, assisting customers, loading and unloading, and completing equipment maintenance or repairs based on experience.

Attention to detail is extremely important because this position tracks equipment, supplies, counts, and orders entering and leaving the facility. Applicants must be reliable, physically capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions, and willing to assist wherever needed.

Mechanical aptitude, tool knowledge, equipment experience, or a manufacturing background is a strong plus. Applicants with equipment repair experience may also perform maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel pumps, forklifts, engines, tools, and other equipment at the main facility or customer field sites.

Responsibilities:

• Check equipment and supplies in and out of the facility.
• Accurately document equipment counts, orders, fuel levels, mileage, hours used, and other required information.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, safety decals, safety compliance, and proper operating condition.
• Clean and wash equipment and maintain an organized work area.
• Move equipment throughout the yard and shop.
• Load and unload equipment for customers.
• Prepare equipment for rental or delivery.
• Demonstrate equipment operation to customers as needed.
• Pick up and deliver equipment between locations.
• Assist service technicians, sales staff, and other branch personnel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and entry-level repairs based on experience.
• Work with gas and diesel pumps, forklifts, engines, tools, and other equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Complete other assigned yard, warehouse, shop, or field-service duties.

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of yard, warehouse, equipment, manufacturing, mechanical, or related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Dependable attendance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Effective communication, multitasking, teamwork, and customer service skills.
• Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of tools and equipment is strongly preferred.
• Equipment repair or maintenance experience is required for advanced service responsibilities.
• Steel-toe boots and work pants are required.
• Must be willing to complete all required pre-employment screening.

Compensation:

Starting pay is $17.00–$20.00 per hour for yard, warehouse, and equipment-support experience. Applicants with equipment maintenance and repair experience may qualify for $22.00–$24.00 per hour, with rates up to $30.00 per hour considered for stronger experience and stable employment history.
