Director of Accounting Construction Industry | Riverside, CA (Onsite) About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead all financial and accounting operations for a growing construction company. This fully onsite leadership role will partner closely with executive management to provide accurate financial reporting, strategic insights, and financial guidance to support continued growth. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounting team Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting (MD&A) Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning Ensure accurate revenue recognition, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and job costing Analyze project financial performance and profitability Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes Strengthen internal controls, financial compliance, and inventory accuracy Partner with Operations and Executive Leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency Qualifications CPA preferred Construction industry experience required 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience 5+ years of senior accounting leadership experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting Advanced Excel skills Experience working with ERP and accounting systems Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Why Join?
