Outreach & Events Assistant Our client is looking for an Outreach & Events Assistant to support communications, outreach initiatives, and event coordination within a higher education environment. Location: Cambridge, MA Onsite Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week Type: Contract Pay: $27–$34/hour Responsibilities Coordinate public and promotional events from planning through execution. Manage event logistics including venues, A/V, signage, promotional materials, speaker travel, and setup/tear-down. Develop and distribute email campaigns, newsletters, social media, website content, and other promotional materials. Maintain outreach and email databases. Draft, edit, and proofread communications and marketing materials. Track event engagement and identify opportunities to increase reach. Provide general administrative support, including purchasing, invoices, and correspondence. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in event planning, marketing, communications, outreach, or a related field. Strong writing, editing, organizational, and project management skills. Experience coordinating events and managing multiple priorities. Experience with social media and email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and experience in higher education/academic environments, website content management, virtual/hybrid events, graphic design, or video editing.
