Founded by Jewish leaders with deep ties in social justice movements, Project Shema brings a fresh approach to these challenging issues. The Vice President of Development will serve as the driver of Project Shema’s $6M fundraising strategy, leading the execution of a comprehensive development program and supporting and enhancing the organization’s philanthropic fundraising strategy. This leader will bring a proven record of philanthropic success, blending fundraising expertise, strategic vision, and creative thinking to fuel transformational growth. The VP will be responsible for building an individual giving program and creating the systems and infrastructure necessary to sustain long-term success and contributing to the growth of the organization’s institutional fundraising strategy. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned fundraiser with a deep commitment to progressive values. They will be both a strategist and a builder who combines vision with execution and leads with transparency, empathy, and collaboration. Compensation Range $155,000 To apply Please submit a resume and cover letter to Beth Greenberg, Evolve Giving Group: View email address on click.appcast.io Key Responsibilities Provide visionary fundraising leadership and strategic direction, setting ambitious fundraising goals in partnership with the CEO Build and implement fundraising processes, systems, and structures from the ground up to establish a strong foundation for long-term development success Develop and implement a high-touch, customized individual giving strategy that nurtures meaningful partnerships with Project Shema donors Conduct prospect research to identify, qualify, and prioritize potential donors, building and maintaining a robust pipeline of support Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize major gift and funding opportunities Design and execute comprehensive cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies Support efforts to retain and expand the support of the organization’s current institutional funders and identify and secure new foundation support Launch donor engagement and fundraising events Manage accurate donor records in the CRM database Generate comprehensive fundraising reports to monitor progress and inform decision-making Engage and inspire the board of directors to serve as ambassadors play an expanding role in development Qualifications & Skills 7+ years of fundraising experience ; 3+ years in a leadership role Track record in creating and executing development strategies for a mission-driven organization Experience in all aspects of fundraising including annual giving, major gifts, foundation/grants, endowments/legacy giving, donor development and development operations Proven ability to design, implement, and scale fundraising systems and processes Exceptional communication and relationship skills Detail oriented, highly organized and self motivated Interest in issues related to antisemitism, Jewish identity, Israel and Palestine discourse, and progressive politics Skilled at leading people and teams while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders Passion for the mission of building a more just and inclusive society Proficiency with Google Suite and donor management tools; Salesforce strongly preferred Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time #J-18808-Ljbffr
