We welcome all those who have big ideas, crave innovation, want to drive fielding velocity, and have the passion to bring the warfighter home safe.Key Responsibilities:Perform / assess detailed design and analyses, including thermal and structural, using both classical and finite element methodsCreate and post-process Finite Element Models (FEM) ranging from sub-component level to the system level using Siemens Simcenter 3D/NX, NASTRAN, Ansys Mechanical, and Ansys Icepak.Generate/ assess designs against environmental requirements and generate prototypes for test and verification effortsDevelop robust and novel thermal/structural hardware solutions to meet demanding customer requirementsGenerate / assess 3D solid models, utilize GD&T principles, and perform tolerance analyses to ensure fit and functionLead multi-discipline, state-of-the- art hardware teams through hardware engineering design and developmentLead critical design review activities for program successEmploy your expertise, decision skills, and independent judgment in technical areasCommunicate essential information and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, Procurement, Operations, and Program ManagementSupport program capture and proposal teams with hardware baselines that include development and cost/schedule estimatesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering4+ years' experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent experienceStrong background in mechanical engineering with expertise in CAD design tools and Finite Element AnalysisExcellent leadership and communication skillsExperience working with integrated military electronic hardware and related test equipmentAbility to work individually and in small team environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to execute complex projectsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering4+ years' experience with PTC Creo (formerly Pro/Engineer)4+ years' experience with ANSYS Mechanical, Icepak, and/or Electronics Desktop for both structural and thermal analysis of airborne electronics hardware4+ years' experience with Siemens Simcenter 3D/NX and/or NASTRANKnowledge/experience with manufacturing, production, and sustainment of mechanical systems and hardwareKnowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principlesExperience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) / Model Based Definition (MBD) / Digital EngineeringActive Secret ClearancePay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $105827 - $179906 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
