Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant provides clinical support in a Family Medicine outpatient setting, assisting with patient care and occasional front-office duties such as check-in/check-out, phone coverage, scheduling, and managing patient messages. The role supports clinic flow and may include floating within the scope of skills to meet facility needs. This position requires a Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) credential, BLS certification, and proficiency with healthcare terminology and Epic electronic health records. Responsibilities:

• Assist clinicians with clinical tasks and patient care in an outpatient family medicine practice.
• Perform patient check-in and check-out processes.
• Manage phone coverage and patient messages efficiently.
• Support scheduling and clinic flow to ensure smooth operations.
• Float within the skillset to other duties as needed to meet facility requirements.

• Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) credential (MA-R not accepted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum six months of relevant healthcare experience.
• Proficiency in healthcare terminology.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
• Reliable personal transportation.

• Experience in adult outpatient clinics or family medicine practice.

• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Travelers and locals are eligible; travelers must have reliable transportation.
• Candidate must confirm availability for three interview times including time zone.
• Strict no call no show policy that may affect future employment opportunities.
• Return to office (RTO) restrictions to be confirmed with hiring manager.

• Five 8-hour day shifts per week.
• Shift schedule primarily during daytime hours.
