No weekends, no holidays, no on‑call. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator oversees CT and MRI services. An experienced Registered Nurse who provides direct patient care and facilitates interdisciplinary approaches, patient flow, staffing, resource utilization, and problem solving during shifts. Responsibilities Facilitate unit operations on a shift basis according to policies and regulatory requirements. Coordinate staffing assignments to achieve high quality and cost‑effective care. Direct patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel. Champion new initiatives and participate in committees or task forces. Communicate directly with patients and their significant others about nursing care. Implement action plans to provide safe, quality, and efficient care. Ensure safety and security of patients, significant others, and staff. Provide direct patient care, performing ongoing assessment of assigned patients and their significant others’ biopsychosocial and learning needs. Respond to needs of patients and significant others. Monitor and document patient response to therapeutic interventions and progress toward outcomes. Complete quality improvement activities for the assigned shift. Assess and intervene in critical situations involving patients, staff, and visitors. Ensure the environment is clean, attractive, safe, and free from hazards for patients, staff, and visitors. Analyze patterns of daily activities and recommend operational/program changes. Anticipate staffing needs for subsequent shifts and arrange coverage. Facilitate interdepartmental communication of incidents and identify key issues and trends. Provide input to manager on budgetary issues, staffing, and cost‑containment strategies. Establish relationships across departments to optimize patient care. Assess and communicate staff development needs. Orient staff to Clinical Coordinator and Charge roles. Serve as a resource for staff. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois. Two or more years in clinical specialty. CPR – Basic Life Support. Preferred Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Certification in specialty clinical area.
