Surgical Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (0630 - 1500). Shifts may vary within the hours of 0630 to 1830.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse with a well-rounded skillset in surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess experience in various surgical specialties, including but not limited to vascular, robotic, and neuro surgery. This role involves working in a dynamic environment with a daily census of approximately 30 cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Assist in various surgeries, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
• Utilize the Epic charting system for patient record management.
• Respond promptly to code situations and emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of charge experience in a surgical setting.
• Current California RN License.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
