Essential Loan Officer Functions Build lasting client relationships, identify new opportunities, and solve problems. Develop referrals with realtors, builders, and other partners; attend open houses and host agent events. Analyze financial situations, match clients with the appropriate loan, and guide them through the mortgage process with calm and caring advice. Set ambitious sales goals and leverage in‑house marketing support to design targeted outreach campaigns.
