Senior Municipal Water Resources Engineer

Overview We are seeking a Senior Municipal Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities Project manager for multiple municipal projects. Conduct contract negotiations with clients and sub‑consultants. Plan, schedule, bill, and report, conducting or coordinating detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope. Perform preliminary engineering design and/or review the design and drafting work of junior engineers, designers or drafters. Work with external clients at progress meetings and throughout the project to meet client needs, project schedules, goals and deadlines. Prepare cost and man‑hour estimates, job budgets and schedules. Perform quality control and guide junior staff related to hydrologic/hydraulic models or methods. Prepare or oversee the preparation of final plans and design reports and submit them for approval. Prepare or oversee the preparation of hydrologic/hydraulic models and modeling reports and submit them for approval. Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff. May perform other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary. Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (preferably Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources). Management coursework and/or MBA is a plus. Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida with 6+ years of experience. Demonstrated experience in project management including budget, schedule and deliverables performance. Demonstrated experience working with municipalities, water management districts, and other water agencies. Good technical writing, computer and communications skills. Expected compensation range is between $90,400 - $120,600 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
