Registered Nurse - ICU (MICU)

Chicago, IL

Start Date: September 14 - December 12, 2026

Shift: 12-hour Nights/Days

Hours: 36 hours/week

Schedule: Every other weekend

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU/MICU) for a contract assignment in Chicago.

This 17-bed MICU cares for high-acuity medical and cardiac patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong ICU background and be comfortable managing critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring, mechanical ventilation, vasoactive medications, and complex cardiac support.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience

• Strong critical-care background required

• BLS

• ACLS

• NIHSS

• CCRN preferred

• First-time travelers may be considered with a strong ICU background

Additional Details

• Floating: SICU and Telemetry/Med-Surg units; travelers float first

• Orientation: 2 shifts, including 1 shift in SICU

• Call: None

• Weekend: Every other weekend

• Holidays: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday expectation

• Scrubs: Navy for RNs

• Parking: Monthly and two-week parking options available

• Conveniently located near the CTA Brown Line
