D.O.E - $19.50 - $25.00

Summary:

The Demand Planner sources raw products from different growers and suppliers to meet daily production/sales needs.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinates and fulfills procurement of raw products and supplies to meet customer orders.

· Monitors and maintains target inventory levels.

· Keeps good relations with growers and suppliers.

· Orders raw products daily to meet production/sales needs.

· Prepares daily raw demand for production schedule and processing.

· Collects and maintains daily records of raw product inventory, daily field tags, weights, and certificate of analysis.

· Continuously monitors and provides feedback on supplier performance.

· Balances daily production raw usage to actual receipts using xTuple software.

· Works closely with scheduling and sales to meet customer needs.

· Provides timely solutions when issues arise and assists Raw Material Quality Assurance with problem resolutions.

· Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve company needs and goals.

· Generates purchase orders in the xTuple database.

· Balances daily production pack-outs.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· A college degree is preferred but not required. A minimum of 2–3 years of relevant purchasing experience, along with demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes and practices, is preferred.

· Experience in agriculture industry preferred

· MRP software knowledge preferred

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)

· Able to multi-task effectively and efficiently

· Good interpersonal skills to effectively manage supplier relationships and effectively communicate inter-departmentally.

· Ability to work under pressure, in a team-oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities

· Able to react quickly to product discrepancies to meet customers’ needs

· Able to maintain positive relationships and be a team player

· Good organizational skills and detailed accuracy

· Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

· Comply with all safety policies, procedures and rules.

· Use all proper safety equipment.

· Report all safety and health concerns, unsafe practices and hazardous conditions to immediate supervisor.

· Comply with all GMP’s and Food Safety Programs by adhering to guidelines established by the company.

· Support Foreign Object Prevention Program by reporting foreign object incidents to quality staff.

· Report any food safety/quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate corrective actions.

· Support Company’s Food Security Programs by reporting any suspicious activity to supervisor in order to avoid intentional microbiological, chemical or physical contamination.
