Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with elementary students. This contract opportunity spans from August 25 through June 11, 2027, and is divided between two elementary schools north of Detroit—providing the chance to support diverse student needs and contribute your expertise in both settings. This is a full-time, onsite role split as .6 FTE at one school and .4 FTE at another, ensuring a dynamic and engaging workweek.
Experience working with pediatric populations, whether as a certified SLP-CCC or as a Clinical Fellow (CFY), will help you excel as you deliver meaningful services within a school-based setting. Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Michigan
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in pediatric or school-based SLP roles preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for helping children reach their full potential
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for students with speech-language disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals
- Maintain compliance with all documentation and state regulations
- Participate in school meetings and professional development as needed
