About the Position

Job Title

Travel: Registered Respiratory Therapist (Nights - 3x12's)

Location

Lafayette, IN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 3x12's (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across ICU, Med/Surg, ER, and Level 3 NICU settings
• Manage and operate ventilators, BiPAPs, Heated High Flow (HHFNC), Bubble CPAP, and transport equipment including Hamilton C, Oscillators, Jet, and NITRIC systems
• Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
• Deliver care to high-acuity patients, including neonatal patients in a Level 3 NICU , with strong time management under heavy patient loads
• Perform accurate and proficient EMR documentation using EPIC
• Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team and respond independently to varying acuity levels

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
• Demonstrated Level 3 NICU skills with ability to work proficiently in that setting
• Acute care experience in Med/Surg, ER, and ICU environments
• Proficiency with ventilators, BiPAPs, and Heated High Flow units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working across ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care as a Respiratory Therapist
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Willingness to assist with higher patient loads and elevated acuity situations
• Strong interpersonal skills that align with a collaborative, team-oriented unit culture
