Our plant is unique in that we have two product platforms: flour and dry mixes. The flour we produce is integrated into our Betty Crocker mixes. We are a small plant with a great culture where you will get to know the people you work with. Fun facts about Avon are that we produce an average of 1.1 million pounds of flour a day and about 100 million Betty Crocker pouches a year. More information on scheduling will be provided during the interview process* Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**As part of our manufacturing team, you will:* Be responsible for cleaning, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting milling/process equipment and performing milling processes* Perform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining all areas of mill* Assist the Assistant Miller by providing process system support, including learning the Assistant Miller role and performing processing positions and equipment operation* Execute all required HACCP food safety processes and documentation* Calibrate processing systems daily to meet required specifications* Participate in startup, changeover, and shut down of operating equipment* Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance* Assist in training new employees**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*** Minimum of a high school diploma or GED* Mechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing or related industry* Experience in warehouse operations and use of WMS (preferably SAP, Blue Yonder)* Basic computer skills with the ability to use digital tools and systems to complete daily work tasks* Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.* Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods* Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions* Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms* Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards* Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)* Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens #J-18808-Ljbffr General Mills Inc.
