Schedule:

Standard Emergency Department shifts with rotating schedule including days, evenings, and nights. Shift times include 7a-5p, 11a-9p, 5p-3a, 9p-7a at Main ED; 12-hour shifts at Free-Standing Emergency Department. All on-site work with no traditional call responsibilities.

Highlights:

– High-acuity, complex patient population at a Level 3 Trauma Center with approximately 30 ED treatment spaces
– Main ED volume of 115 patients per day with 25% admission rate; physicians do not see low acuity cases
– Free-Standing ED volume of 70 patients per day with 5% admission rate
– Full specialty support consistent with Level 3 Trauma Center including in-house intensivist, hospitalist, OB, and all major specialties
– Meditech EMR system with streamlined orientation for experienced users
– Collaborative environment with 4 physicians and 2 APPs per shift at Main ED, plus dedicated nursing staff, techs, paramedics, and security

Requirements:

– Board Certification: ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine) required
– Active and unrestricted medical license
– Proficiency in all standard ED procedures including intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, conscious sedation, fracture reduction, and laceration repair
– Case logs required for credentialing purposes
– Temporary privileges available to expedite start
