Job Description Be part of a world‑class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine Medical Group, as a Registered Nurse at our River East clinic. This is a 100% onsite opportunity based in the greater Chicagoland area. Located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, UChicago Medicine River East is a state‑of‑the‑art outpatient center featuring a wide range of services, including infusion therapy, lab services, and radiology services (CT, MRI, mammography, X‑ray, DEXA, ultrasound). Essential Job Functions Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality. Obtain and document health history, chief complaint, vital signs, health risk factors and assess disease condition. Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations. Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administer prescribed medications, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response. Delegate as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act, refer to or consult with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent or resolve issues. Educate patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Document patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices. Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes. Track quality assurance data and monitor for acute and chronic care management. Maintain/review patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Post test results and examination results. Respond to and refer incoming patient treatment‑related phone calls. Maintain patient confidentiality. Perform other duties assigned. Required Qualifications Actively licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois. Minimum one year of professional nursing experience. Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Prior clinic experience. Position Details Job Type/FTE: Full‑Time 1.0 FTE. Shift: Days – 7:15 am to 5:15 pm, Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour shifts.
