The Opportunity As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing client engagements while working closely with firm leadership and clients. Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Review Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-corporation, and corporate tax returns Review workpapers and supporting documentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations Assist with tax notices and tax authority correspondence Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality standards Tax Planning & Advisory Assist clients with proactive tax planning strategies Identify opportunities to reduce tax exposure and improve outcomes Research technical tax issues and prepare recommendations Support business and individual planning initiatives Stay current on tax law developments and regulatory changes Client Service & Relationship Management Develop and maintain strong client relationships Communicate directly with business owners and individual clients Respond to client questions and provide ongoing support Assist clients with planning, decision-making, and problem solving Serve as a trusted resource throughout the year Leadership & Mentorship Assist in training and mentoring junior staff Review work prepared by less experienced team members Share technical knowledge and best practices Help improve workflow processes and engagement efficiency Support team development initiatives Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field 3+ years of public accounting tax experience Experience preparing business and individual tax returns Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously Preferred CPA license or active CPA candidate Tax planning experience Experience reviewing returns and workpapers Strong client-facing skills Advisory or consulting experience Who Thrives Here?
